Cannon atop Pilot Knob aimed at the now-defunct site of Johnsonville (on the opposite bank of the river). The cannon is part of the monument commemorating the 1864 Battle of Johnsonville, in which Forrest destroyed a Federal supply depot at the Johnsonville site. The monument is maintained by Nathan Bedford Forrest State Park, which is located in Benton County, Tennessee, in the southeastern United States.
